Probably the most relaxing, rejuvenating vacation we’ve ever had.  Cindy and Chris have shown us the “real” Mexico. La Cruz is a seaside delight.  Our sunrise breakfast cruise was just one of the many highlights.  We’ll be back!

Cindy and Chris Bouchard have created a “gem” of a Boutique Inn here in La Cruz!  I’m in awe with what they have accomplished.  They have captured true Mexican ambiance with their design, colors, and decor, and created a stunning and comfortable place to get away from it all.  Only 10 miles up the coast from Puerto Vallarta in the charming village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, it has all the trappings of an ideal laid back vacation destination.  I especially plan to keep it in mind for some of my corporate clients who may want to have a quiet and beautiful oceanfront retreat for their personal use, Board of Directors Meetings, or top level sales executives and their spouses.  They will be in excellent hands with Cindy and Chris and will undoubtedly want to return again and again.

The view is spectacular but I have to say that the beds were soooo comfortable; that was my favorite thing.

You can book one of five rooms each with a breakfast bar stocked with your favourites or several rooms for a family gathering.

We stayed in Bahia room, what I liked best was being able to lie in bed and being able to see the ocean… an amazing view. The second thing I liked was the large balcony that allowed you to sit and have coffee and again take in that view.

Villa Amor del Mar is ideal for corporate and trade association leadership retreats or executive getaways. It is a place whose uniqueness in both accommodations and location, sets it light years away from the ordinary. Conduct your business in a beautiful Mexican beachfront setting, then simply enjoy the beauty itself. Chris and Cindy go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and never forget that a group is made up of individuals who all deserve the best.

Pure happiness for a romantic get away. I will go back for sure. Thanks again to Chris and Cindy for their warm hospitality; away from tourist factories but yet so close. A weekend on business led me to Villa Amor Del Mar and now I have got but one desire; to go back with my wife to spend some excellent alone time together. See you soon

The Inn is beautiful and the rooms are so comfortable and inviting. It’s like staying at a good friend’s house. The location is perfect. You are right on the beach and a short walk to everything. We loved the Sunday Market. La Cruz is a darling little fishing village and Chris and Cindy’s knowledge of the town and surrounding area will come in handy if you want to get out and explore…and the best part is they will take care of all the details! Villa Amor del Mar is a place that you will definitely want to come back to…we do!

Our time spent at this hidden gem of a Boutique Inn was romantic, restful and entertaining. The attention to detail of the entire property makes certain every need is met with ease. Enjoyed the pool, candle lit dinner on the roof, wonderful bathroom, beach views and conversations with our fascinating hosts. My all time favorite memory was the twinkling stars and lighted boats bobbing over my tiptoes from bed at night. It’s a magical place. We loved it!

Lounging poolside, watching the pangas, sailboats and yachts come and go, the waves lapping the shore… what a great retreat from the go-go-go of our workaday world. The village, the marina, with the fisherman’s wharf and artisan market, the restaurants and the sun; thanks C&C, for a great vacation.

Villa Amor Del Mar is the newest and by far the most luxurious Inn to be added to the beautiful village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, just north of Puerto Vallarta.  In addition to its private 1 bedroom, 2 bath “casita”, this oceanfront Inn boasts five beautiful bedrooms all with private baths, balconies, small kitchenettes with a larger kitchen available, a lounge area with TV, beautiful infinity pool and Jacuzzi and lawn sloping down to a sandy beach.  Most rooms have sweeping views of the Banderas Bay and Puerto Vallarta.  The Inn is a short walk to the quaint village of La Cruz and it’s many fine restaurants with some of the best bars and music in the entire area… a true Mexican village (no t-shirt shops!) with the nicest locals and ex-pats one could ask for. My husband and I fell in love with La Cruz 5 years ago and have been back every winter since.  So, we were thrilled to see such a wonderful addition this year by owners Chris and Cindy Bouchard, talented artists and builders originally from Vancouver, who have spared no expense in making Villa Amor Del Mar the most upscale and stunning Boutique inn property in the area.  The authentic Mexican colors, design and artwork starts at the front gate and continues throughout. Cindy and Chris are delightful hosts and a terrific resource for all of the exciting activities available in the area.  We are recommending Villa Amor Del Mar to any of our clients who want a luxurious experience in a safe and beautiful part of Mexico.  It is perfect for any small group, whether a board meeting, destination wedding, family reunion, or just a romantic getaway for two.
